Rupa Karki is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). She attended the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Chamberlain University where she received her Master of Science in Nursing degree. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association.
She believes in high-quality care that prioritizes patient-centeredness, empathy, and evidence-based practice. She strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space for patients to share their stories and work toward mental health goals. She values the therapeutic relationship with her patients by taking time to actively listen, empathize, and build trust. To remain at the forefront of her profession, she participates in continuing education, attends conferences, and researches new treatments.
Prior to becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she had significant experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, post-op, rehabilitation center, and several nursing leadership roles.
